Overview & Strategic Impact
As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer, you will own the central nervous system of Pixirain — the collaborative live workspace where clients, delivery managers, and specialized craftspeople coordinate complex digital projects. You will be architecting resilient distributed systems, real-time synchronization pipelines, and immutable ledger operations that handle milestone approvals and payments with zero tolerance for inconsistency or failure.

Pixirain Engineering operates as a lean, high-velocity product collective. We eliminate bureaucracy, unnecessary meetings, and ticket juggling in favor of end-to-end problem ownership. Our engineers deploy to production within their first week, work directly with design and operations, and write code that powers transactions for thousands of businesses across the globe.
What You'll Do & Deliver
Concrete responsibilities you will own from your first month onward:
Architect, ship, and maintain high-performance web applications using Next.js 16 App Router, React 19, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL.
Design and scale atomic financial state machines covering milestone escrow, automated multi-party releases, and audit trails.
Optimize real-time state synchronization, WebSocket / SSE channels, and optimistic client-side updates across variable network conditions.
Enforce rigorous engineering discipline: automated contract testing, database query profiling, zero-downtime migrations, and structured telemetry.
Collaborate daily with Product Design to translate complex state transitions into fluid, low-latency interfaces that feel instantaneous.
Participate in lightweight rotational on-call duties for the services you and your squad own, taking pride in high reliability.
What We Expect & How Success is Measured
Transparent milestone goals for your first 30, 60, and 90 days:
- 30 Days:Ship your first production feature to live users, audit existing workspace data queries, and contribute to the shared architectural patterns.
- 60 Days:Independently design and deliver an end-to-end capability (such as enhanced milestone verification or instant asset diffing) from technical specification to deployment.
- 90 Days:Serve as the primary technical anchor for a major subsystem, mentor team members, and proactively identify latency or architectural bottlenecks before they impact customers.
- Ongoing:Uphold high engineering taste — write concise, maintainable code, document architectural decisions (ADRs), and operate with extreme bias toward action.

What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of verifiable experience delivering customer-facing web applications at scale.
- Proven track record of taking technical initiatives from ambiguous problem statements to battle-tested production software.
- Deep fluency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript, relational database design, and web platform fundamentals (DOM, HTTP/2, security, caching).
- Demonstrated experience owning live services — building, deploying, monitoring, debugging, and maintaining them under real traffic.
Nice to have (bonus, not mandatory)
- Direct experience with payments, ledger accounting, escrow mechanisms, or fintech workflows
- Contributions to prominent open-source TypeScript, React, or database tools
- Experience optimizing web performance for low-bandwidth mobile environments in emerging markets
